GLOUCESTERSHIRE CRAFT BREWERS

The Gloucestershire Craft Brewers are an association of Gloucestershire microbreweries. We recognise that although we are competing for the same dwindling market there are benefits from working together to promote Gloucestershire beers and the breweries that produce them.

Our greatest barrier is the steady loss of free trading pubs - the majority being owned by pub management companies and a few large national breweries. This results in a lack of choice for beer drinkers with many pubs offering a limited range of national brands.

We believe that the market for locally produced beers can be improved if consumers and pubs are made aware of our existance and what we have to offer.

We comprise seven members.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE ALE TRAIL

The Gloucestershire Ale Trail (GAT) is an initiative set up by the Gloucestershire Craft Brewers to encourage Gloucestershire pubs to sell Gloucestershire beers.

Participating Gloucestershire pubs agree to always have at least one Gloucestershire beer on tap (15 breweries and over 60 beers to choose from) and in return the Gloucestershire Craft Brewers will promote the pubs through leaflet distribution; through our website; and with GAT window stickers.
